The purpose of the Jeff Davis 4-H Leadership Advisory Council is:
To develop an effective educational program taking into consideration the situation, needs and expressed desires of people, as well as issues to be addressed in this parish.
To give people the opportunity to express felt needs, desires and issues for consideration by extension personnel in designing educational programs.
To provide an opportunity for lay persons to develop their leadership potential.
To provide an educational experience for people who are involved.
To provide public awareness of the value of educational programs.
To assure extension faculty that planned extension programs will meet the priority needs and issues of their clientele.
To provide a systematic procedure for keeping extension educational programs focused on existing and emerging needs and issues.
The term limit for members is three years.
